A full 28 banner design that brought renewed navigational signage and vibrancy to the UCSB Arts District

  • I worked with the Office of Public Affairs at UC Santa Barbara to develop a comprehensive banner guidance system for the Arts District on campus. Collaborating with multiple department heads and public affairs staff, we created a unified visual approach that thoughtfully integrated each school’s brand colors into a cohesive system.

    A key challenge was working with a wide range of existing departmental photography and finding a way to bring consistency and visual harmony across all materials. Another important consideration was legibility from a distance, ensuring that visitors could easily identify where they were on campus at a glance.

    By combining bold typography, a refined color system, and curated imagery, we helped establish a refreshed and more cohesive visual identity for this area of the UCSB campus.
